Abby Hurst is the owner of Core Connections, a studio in Hutchinson, KS. She is trained and certified in the STOTT Pilates Method with an emphasis on rehabilitation. She graduated from Newman University with a BA in Occupational Therapy; which creates a unique blend grounded in the principles of both modalities. Abby has also been trained under Sue Hitzman in the MELT Method to include; Hand and Foot, Length Techniques and Neurostrength. Abby felt that this focus was a compliment to her Pilates training in order to help her clients achieve a body that moved with greater freedom and less pain. She holds additional certifications in Total Control for Pelvic Floor training, Total Barre, Holistic Practitioner from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and is currently pursuing a culinary certification in Plant-based cuisine. In the past she has held certifications from AFFA and The American College of Sports Medicine. She recently completed an intensive Hands-On Human Dissection workshop facilitated by Thomas Meyers from Anatomy Trains. She first discovered yoga in her 30's and fell in love with solitude and peace the practice would bring. Yoga is a passion that feels like home and she plans to complete her 200-hr training in the future.
